Description:Position Summary: Maintenance Technician is a vital
member of the Dancing Bear Maintenance team to maintain DBA
residences, common areas and back of house in a safe and proper
working order. To respond to maintenance issues (members and staff)
in a timely manner.
Position SummaryTo ensure all building and repair activities for
both the interior and exterior of the building, including but not
limited to all member residences, physical property systems, common
and back of house areas. The Maintenance Department operates on a
year round basis. This is an hourly position. The requirements of
this position include working on the weekends with regular days off
during the week and on call duties after regular hours. Housing
available for a single individual and will be living with one other
person. No smoking, no pets.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responding to maintenance requests, both written and verbal as
quickly and efficiently as possible
- Maintain and frequently update an Ongoing Projects List.
- Proper maintenance of all DBA residences and common areas to
include inspection and maintenance of residences prior to member
arrivals.
- Proper maintenance of all DBA vehicles to include periodic
safety and maintenance checks.
- Establish, maintain and record for daily/weekly/monthly
inspections for the following systems; boiler room, HVAC air
handlers/chillers, suite air handlers/chillers, fire alarm system,
elevator equipment, irrigation, room keys, snow melt and designated
restaurant equipment, etc.
- Always maintain a professional appearance with appropriate
uniform and nametag.
- Check out and carry two-way radio and keep front desk appraised
of your location.
- Perform preventative residences and common area maintenance as
needed, both during season and off season. IE: Touch up paint,
replace light bulbs, etc.
- Perform regular common area inspections to police for garbage
and issues that may pose a hazard to guest, employees or
visitors.
- Maintains appropriate levels of chemicals and temperature in
spas.
- Perform regular common area tours to police and/or fire
department for issues related to the safety and well being of our
members, employees and visitors.
- Landscaping and grounds maintenance of street level and roof
top lounge as needed including snow removal.
- Observe all safety rules and procedures in compliance with OSHA
safety requirements.
- Respond to after hours emergencies as required.
SECONDARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of co-workers in the absence of the Maintenance
Supervisor.
- Assist Bell staff with luggage transport and airport transfer
as needed.
- Snow removal as needed.
- Assist Housekeeping department with specific tasks as
needed.
- Perform regular vacuum inspection and repairs.
- Ensure security of tools, supplies and Dancing Bear
property.
- Maintain a supply of parts and equipment for frequently
repaired or replaced items.
- Maintain an inventory list of supplies needed during periodic
trips to hardware suppliers so as to reduce trips in the downtown
core.
- Be familiar with club policies and member interest
information.
- Be familiar with parking and driving regulations in town and at
the airport.
- Maintain effective communication with all departments and with
the front desk when on call.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Heavy lifting associated with furniture and luggage
moving.
- Driving the hotel vehicles in varying weather conditions
including snow, ice and rain.
- Mobility around the hotel, town and to the airport.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions including rain and
snow.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
- Vehicles
- Maintenance power and hand tools
- Snow shovel, radio, pager and keys.
- Clean and organized maintenance shop.
- Paint, stain, solvents and other hazardous chemicals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous maintenance and/or building experience. Experience may
include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general carpentry and
landscaping.
- Must be capable of communicating, verbally and written in
English with members, guests and co-workers.
- Strong back and physical condition. Able to work with hands.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely on a regular basis.
- Must possess a valid Colorado drivers license.
- CPO license required (must obtain with first six months of
employment if not already licensed).
- Ability to prioritize. Must be organized and pay attention to
detail.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work various hours and schedules.
- Cheerful, cooperative attitude. Willingness to help others and
other departments.
- Ability to remain calm and productive in emergency
situations.
